Web Animation

Creating moving images on the web can be achieved by a number of methods. Using javascript you can create the illusion of animation by rotating a number of images. Animated GIFs allow you to create and rotate a number of images within a single GIF file. And shockwave movies created using Macromedia's Flash allow you to create complex animations optimised for the web.

Flash

Macromedia's Flash is designed to create low bandwidth, interactive graphics for the web. Using a timeline to organise your images, with Flash you can create simple banners like the one to the right or complete Flash websites like Jaguar-Racing.com

QuickTime

QuickTime users have been enjoying quality digital video since 1991. Today, QuickTime is rapidly becoming the most popular distributed media technology for Windows and Mac OS–based computers. The BBC, HBO and CNN all use QuickTime in their digital media publications.
